SMART announces new Kanata plant manager
Manufacturing specialist assumes new leadership role for SMART’s assembly operations
OTTAWA, Ontario--- September 19, 2006 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces the appointment of Dave Jackson to plant manager, Kanata assembly operations. He is responsible for increasing plant output, reducing costs and driving product quality.
Jackson joins SMART with 30 years of experience in various management positions within the chemical, bio-tech, food and service industries. His strong communication skills will be brought to bear on SMART’s continuous initiatives to improve health, safety, operations and equipment reliability. With a proven track record in understanding operational processes, identifying performance gaps and leading the creation of processes and systems, Jackson is well positioned to enhance site performance for SMART. Prior to joining the company, he was also an active board and committee member for various K-12 schools and colleges.
